Dean's Office - Registrar's Office

The Dean's office carries out faculty-related business and is under the dean's direction (currently Prof. Dr. Hans Zischler, Institute of Anthropology).
The Dean represents the faculty to outside bodies, is the presiding member of the faculty council and is responsible to it. He implements the decisions of the faculty council and conducts departmental business under his own authority. His official substitute is the Vice Dean (currently Prof. Dr. Walter Stöcker, Institute of Zoology).

The Faculty Registrar's Office is also located in the Dean's Office, but is organized under the head of the Examination Board (currently Prof. Dr. Thomas Hankeln, Institute of Molecular Genetics).

The area of study and teaching is represented by the Dean of Students (currently Prof. Dr. Roland Strauß, Institute of Zoology) in cooperation with the Student Advising Office.

As far as students are concerned, the Dean's/Registrar's Office is primarily their point of contact for study specific questions or exam registration.

Departmental advisory service is also available from the Dean's office - and also from professors and lecturers during consultation hours.

The Dean's office is at Gresemundweg 2 (1st and 2nd floors).
